Karwa Chauth Puja Muhurat starts at 05:48 PM and ends at 07:04 PM. The moon will rise on Karwa Chauth at 08:15 PM. This festival is mainly celebrated in North India by the married women and those who are very close to get married pray for the safety and long life of their husbands, fianc├ęs or desired husbands.

As per the Hindu calendar Karwa Chauth 2018 will be celebrated on 27th October 2018. This festival falls during the Krishna Paksha Chaturthi in the month of Kartik. On the auspicious occasion of the Karva Chauth, married women observe a nirjala vrat (fast without food and water) from sunrise to moonrise. Their fast will be break only by the hand of their husband after the moonrise.

After the moon rise women offers water to the moon as a part of their prayer by holding an Atta Chani in another hand. After this will see their husband with this same Atta Chani and husband will give water to wife with their own hands and break their fast.
